How we work with your data

We understand that different teams have different needs when it comes to collecting and storing data. At LayerNext, we have designed our system in such a way that we can operate entirely within your team’s privacy and security boundaries.

At the outset, LayerNext can be used as a cloud hosted service, or self hosted within your cloud environment or data center when you need every aspect of your data workflow to be contained within your infrastructure.

Our data platform connects to your data storage and we do not make copies of your data onto our servers. We never take destructive actions on any stored data unless explicitly instructed to do so; we rarely write into the data storage unless generating new data and modifications to annotations are versioned and reversible. We may use an auxiliary data storage to store generated data or caches and that data storage is entirely under your control.
